These are Redshell 1 and Redshell 2 clones which went through tissue culture early on using the mix presented in the paper published via IPPS. Parentage is uncertain because either the parent of Rs1 or Rs2 perished, as it was very sickly, from the get go. I was hoping that tissue culture might help it. Both of the above reintroduced plants suffered from stem rot during the 2010/2011 winter. Parentage for the second one is from one of the three below, all Redshell stock, germinated from seed a decade ago. After these mature a bit more then it should be more obvious which one of three below belongs to one of these. As both them appear to be in more or less the same condition, it would appear that the sickly parent stock has more viable clone offspring which has gone through tissue culture.
